Don't try this in Montana, Grandma! 3/16 Tommy and Daddy took a dip in the spa to celebrate the end of winter (and crazy Daddy jumped in the chilly pool not long before this photo was taken...it was only 75 degrees compared to the spa's 95 degrees!) The past two weeks have been beyond beautiful, and we took full advantage of temperatures in the high 80s by relaxing in the back yard as much as possible. You'd never know we had such a chilly winter upon us two months prior...except for our very sad landscaping in the background. All in all, Tommy's been having a lot of fun playing with the monkeys in his safari tent, using his sand shovels to excavate rock from the area next to the patio and popping bubbles in the sunshine. What a life!

Polar Bear Swim?

New Style
Our handsome guy models his new spiky hair 3/15. He is SUCH a good boy for his haircuts! Daddy and I only had to bribe him a little to sit still...he got to try his first piece of bubble gum while sitting in the salon chair. Uh oh. Now he's constantly asking me for gum.
Here he displays his favorite remedy for those bad hair days...a plate hat! He loves to dump the contents of his plate onto the table and declare "All done!" before sliding the plate across the table shuffle board-style. Mealtimes are never dull!
TJ and the Ladies
Tommy just can't get away from all his female fans...

It was a beautiful day at the park and he had a blast playing with Carissa, Logan D., Logan H., Taylor and Sadie.

Soccer Star!
Watch out David Beckham...Tommy's going to score a goal or two! He started taking a soccer class a few weeks ago and absolutely thrives on the field. He loves to kick and chase the ball...a skill the coach said some of her 3-year-olds are still working on! And for those who feel compelled to make soccer mom comments, save it...we're not getting a mini-van any time soon. I'm not even 30 yet.
Here Tommy sets up to kick the ball to a friend. He's incredibly focused on soccer balls...it's his favorite toy, and term, the past couple of weeks. I think I hear him say "soccer ball" nearly as frequently as I hear him say "no"...which is ALL THE TIME!
And here Tommy contemplates whether he should kick the blue soccer ball, the red soccer ball or perhaps he should just run down the field like a banshee? No matter the choice, this is one happy kid!

Big Shoes to Fill
Tommy tried on his cousin Cameron's shoes today...he needs to grow quite a bit before his little feet with fill them. An amusing note: he's wearing his own shoes inside this big black pair!
And here he enjoys a barbecue meal with Grandpa Tom (sorry I cut you off in the picture, Tom!), cousins Brennan, Cameron & Cody and Uncle Brian. He's been having a lot of fun playing in our back yard now that the weather made its warm turn (80s this whole week, and it's only March!). We had a busy afternoon getting ready for the barbecue, and Tommy helped Mommy spray the winter dust off the patio and furniture...he loved splashing in the puddles and managed to get himself soaked even though I never once directed the hose at him!

Biking with Mommy
Tommy is having the time of his life going on bike rides with Mommy. We recently attached a "Wee-Ride" seat to my rarely-used bicycle so I can take our little buddy for spins around the neighborhood. Lots of fun for him, and great exercise for me...try pedaling uphill with 28 extra pounds thrown in the mix!
Safety first! Tommy models his new helmet near the driveway before we take off.
Here we pose on our street before pedaling up the hill to the park.
We made it! Tommy's exhausted from all that pumping.

Here Tommy practices his jump shot. He LOVES basketball and had such a blast bouncing around like he was one.
