Day at the Park

Tommy spent some time at the park a while back. True to form, Las Vegas in winter is beautiful and blue-skied, but COLD! We had our little man bundled up to stay warm as he played in the sand box and nearby play equipment. He really enjoys the sand (rather, he likes to scoop it up and throw it) and he loves to say "wheeeeeee!" as he goes down the slide.

Henry's Here!

Tommy welcomes a new buddy into the world...a big high-five to Henry Scott! Henry was born to Mommy & Daddy's good friends Jessica & Brandon late last night. After 3.5 hours of pushing (Jess, you're my hero!) he was born at 10:30 p.m., weighs in at 8 lbs. even and he's a tall drink of water at 21". Tommy is already practicing saying Henry's name and can't wait to play with him when we visit Portland later this month.
Here's Brandon, proud papa. What a good looking pair of fellas! The paparazzi (Aunties Amy, Bradi and Sarah) report that Henry is a mellow little dude. Wishing the entire family the very best in these exciting first days! We love you guys!

"I'm Tommy"

This evening Tommy made a breakthrough in self-awareness. When asked who he is, he can say "I'm Tommy," while pointing to himself. This was the first time he said his own name...it was so amazing to hear! He can easily identify by name Mommy, Daddy and our dog Kaya, too. In an adorable Freudian slip, after we tricked him a few times he pointed to himself and said "I'm naughty!" with a big smile on his face. So true, dear boy, so true!
